History Of Mother's Day

Mother's Day is celebrated in The United States on the second Sunday of May, each year. Originally Mother's Day was begun in 1908 , by Anna Jarvis from West Virginia. It is said that Anna Jarvis' own mother had  wanted a holiday that celebrated mothers or motherhood.  In 1914, President Woodrow Wilson made Mother's Day a National Holiday.
